Lawrence Tech provides a variety of benefit options to protect you and your eligible family members. Some benefit programs require contributions from the employee, but many are fully paid by Lawrence Tech.  

The Benefits Summary provides an overview of benefits offered by the University. Detailed benefits information for all employees are contained in the Employee Handbook. Specific benefits information applicable only to employees with academic or executive appointments, such as faculty, deans, chairs, and other executive officers, are contained in the Faculty Handbook . The handbooks should not be construed as creating a contract between Lawrence Tech and any employees for any benefit described in it.

Notice of Privacy Practices Policy

Lawrence Technological University privacy policies, established to comply with state and federal laws, apply to everyone employed by the University. The Notice of Privacy Practices Policy  details our privacy practices and your rights with respect to the handling of your personal health information in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).

 

Affordable Care Act - Form 1095 and 2019 Tax Reporting

To comply with the Affordable Care Act, certain employers including Lawrence Technological University (利记sbo) must provide a federal form (referred to as a Form 1095-C) to all full-time employees or individuals entitled to coverage.   The IRS recently extended the form distribution deadline for 2019 reporting to March 2, 2020. Please refer to the HR newsletter for important details about 2019 tax filing when you have or have not received the 1095 forms from 利记sbo and your health plan provider.

 

New Health Insurance Marketplace Coverage Notice

In compliance with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), the New Health Insurance Marketplace Coverage Notice provides information about the state healthcare exchanges or marketplaces.  To learn more about the options that may be available to you through the government’s Health Insurance Marketplace, visit www.healthcare.gov.

Lawrence Tech provides medical coverage to eligible full-time employees at a level and a cost that exceeds the Federal guidelines for providing adequate insurance at an acceptable premium. Keep in mind that you have the right to explore your options with the Marketplaces, but you will not be eligible for a subsidy if you elect the Marketplace over 利记sbo coverage.
